
Associate Pastor John L. Griffin, Jr was born in Lakeland, Florida on November 17. He met and married Marcella Y Griffin in 1983. They have four sons (Frederick, John, Lorenzo and Jarrod). He served in the US Army 6yrs.
He attended St. John Missionary Baptist Church, Orlando, Florida and joined
the Brotherhood Ministry in 1989.
His family moved from Orlando, Florida to South Korea in 1999 where they
attended the Camp Walker Soldier Memorial Chapel service under Apostle
Nelson K. Williams. He was appointed as a Deacon / Armor Bearer and
personal driver in 2000 – 2003.
He also served as Deacon / Armor Bearer for Pastor Michael L. Collins with New Dimensional Christian Ministry, Camp Henry, South Korea. He worked in various capacities in the ministry to include: Men’s Choir Director, Chairman Brotherhood, Sunday School Teacher.
Their move back to the United States brought them to Huntsville, Alabama. His family joined the True Light Church of God in Christ under Pastor Dr. Terrell Harris, Jr. from 2007 – 2013 where he served as Deacon, Sunday School teacher, and Bible Study teacher. Afterwards, he and his wife returned to South Korea where they furthered their work with the Federal Government and the Camp Walker Chapel, teaching and ministering from 2013-2017.
He was ordained an Elder with United in Christ Discipleship International, under Bishop Michael L. Collins, June 2015 and served as Pastor at Camp Walker Chapel in South Korea. He returned to Huntsville, Alabama in 2017
and joined the UCFI-Huntsville Ministry team of Bishop Ernest Edwards and currently serves as Director Men’s Ministry, Director of Ushers Ministry and Associate Pastor .
Pastor Griffin considers his calling to serve God’s people an awesome charge and is honored to be a humble servant of the Most High God!
